Awarded as a welcome gift, for completing your profile, and mostly for hosting other members, the result is simple: The more HostPoints you have, the more exchange opportunities you can explore!
Why it matters
HostPoints give you the flexibility to travel when and where you want, even if a direct swap isn’t possible. They’re the currency of trust and opportunity in our community.
Non-reciprocal Exchange
Using HostPointsStay at another member’s place even if they can’t stay at yours. Pay with HostPoints, and they can use those points for a future stay anywhere in the network. More flexibility, more options!
Reciprocal Exchange
With or Without HostPointsSwap homes directly—simultaneously or not. You can use HostPoints or simply agree on a direct exchange. It’s all about what works best for both parties!
How are HostPoints calculated?
When you complete your place’s profile, you’ll set the nightly HostPoints value. 1 HostPoint (HP) = 1 US Dollar. Just enter what your place is worth per night in dollars.
Sample Calculation
If your place rents for $120/night, set your HostPoints to 120 HP/night.
